Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the main crash pad.
(Refer to the BD group - "Crash pad")
Take care not to scratch the crash pad and related parts.
Remove the body control module (A) after loosening nuts and disconnecting connector (B).
Install the body control module.
Install the glove box.
Install the battery (-) terminal.
The BCM can be diagnosed by using the GDS. The BCM communicates with the GDS which then displays inputs and outputs along with codes.
To diagnose the BCM function, select the vehicle model and body control module.
To consult the present input/output value of BCM, "Current DATA".
It provides information of BCM input/output conditions of power supply, turn signal/brake lamp, headlamp, door locks, outside mirror, wiper, auto-light and transmitters etc.
To perform functional test on BCM outputs, select "Actuation Test"
To change the "user option" on BCM, select the "User Option" menu and change the value as below.
